SYNOPSIS

Hong Kong’s world-renowned action cinema is the result of generations of martial art artists, also known as “Kung Fu Stuntmen”. The behind-the-scenes story about the stunts are filled with sweat and tears that are rarely known by the public, especially when most of the heroic contributions and stories we’ve experienced are all about the superstars.  A project overseen by the Hong Kong Stuntman Association, the main crew spent over 2 years digging archives and interviewing hundreds of talents that include the most prominent veterans as well as newbies, shining the spotlight on the seventy-year history of the HK stunt industry.

“KUNGFU STUNTMEN is about …. the people who made Hong Kong action cinema the most breath-taking in the world for the past 60 years.”—Sean Gilman, Chinese Cinema.

“This is an enjoyable and important film and one that martial arts movie buffs won’t want to miss.”—Marc Zirogiannis, Tae Kwon Do Life Magazine
