SYNOPSIS
A washed-up actor, desperate and suicidal, moves into a haunted apartment building where supernatural creatures, ghost hunters, Taoist exorcists, and the souls of the undead are among his neighbors.
“Set in a dark ambience de rigueur to Japanese supernatural flicks—visual debt probably owed to The Grudge director Takashi Shimizu, Mak’s co-producer—zombies and shamen made famous by the cult Hong Kong 1980s franchise Mr Vampire runs amok. Juno Mak
Juno Mak is a Hong Kong singer, record producer, actor, and director. He made his musical debut in 2002 with the EP On the Road. His albums have won Best Record three times at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. For film, in 2010, Mak wrote and starred in Wong Ching-po's film Revenge: A Love Story. The film was a hybrid of slasher and love story. Mak and Wong Ching-po collaborated again in 2011 on the film Let's Go!. In 2013, Mak directed the film Rigor Mortis, which pays tribute to the 1980s Jiangshi genre. In 2018, Mak produced & directed the crime thriller Sons of the Neon Night with an ensemble cast led by Takeshi Kaneshiro, Sean Lau, Louis Koo, Tony Leung and Gao Yuanyuan. The film was finally wrapped up in 2018 but pending release date.
