In ancient time, a monkey sets out to recover the source of warmth on the holy mountain. When he finds a fire stone, he and his dog must overcome many dangers to bring warmth back to his family.

Produced at the renown Shanghai Animation Film Studio, Li Wenyu’s feature directorial debut turns traditional hand-drawn Chinese ink painting into a visually sumptuous animated adventure. Loosely based on a legend of the Qiang people, an ethnic minority living in the mountains of southwest China, the film is a moving tale of personal growth and the importance of companionship in trying times.

This film is presented with support from the Consulate General of The People's Republic of China in Chicago
